Winter having you feeling a little Blue?

It is said that one in five Americans are impacted by Seasonal Affective Disorder, leaving many people not feeling their best. Symptoms of Seasonal Affective Disorder usually appear during late fall or early winter and begin to go away during the sunnier days of spring and summer. Symptoms may start out mild and become more severe as the winter season progresses.

Signs and Symptoms of SAD may include:

  • Losing interest in activities you once enjoyed
  • Having low energy and feeling sluggish
  • Issues oversleeping 
  • Increased carbohydrate cravings (more than normal)
  • Overeating and weight gain
  • Having difficulty concentrating
